Method of Application
Once a suitable foundation structure has been erected, SCA Pro-Tect ascertain the orientation of the sheets and trim to fit the structure as required. The Shrink Wrap sheeting is lifted into position and unfolded over the structure and temporarily tied.

Next Stage
This is repeated as necessary where additional sheets are positioned. Where two sheets join, there is an overlap of approximately 300mm, which is taped and heated to form a secure welded joint, effectively creating one single sheet, this eliminates any possibility leaks. |

Final Stage
When the entire structure has been satisfactorily covered the actual "Shrinking" process is commenced by applying heat to one side of the Shrink Wrap Film. As the film shrinks, it increases in thickness and rigidity, and forms a strong tear resistant covering which is able to stand up to the most severe weather conditions, thus eliminating repairs and patching.
Should it be necessary to gain access through the structure, (ie for craneage), the shrink wrap film can be cut open, and re-sealed with a larger patch as per above, whilst still maintaining the 100% seal.
With conventional individual sheet cladding, it is difficult to contain dust, water, paint, fumes and other pollutants. The shrink-fitting of SCA Pro-Tect over the entire scaffold and projections creates a continuous bonded skin that contains all those substances that could give rise to hazards to people or the environment. |
